Terms of service

These Terms govern your use of GG² Cards. The short version: create and collect signatures for free, pay once per card when you send it, no subscriptions.
01Acceptance of terms
By using GG² Cards — including creating a card, contributing to a card, setting a reminder, or visiting any page — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all users: card creators, contributors, and recipients.
02Age requirements
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your province or territory) to create and purchase a card. Contributors under the age of majority may sign a card only with the consent of a parent or guardian — in Quebec, consent from the holder of parental authority is required for anyone under 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; see our Privacy Policy for details.
03What we provide
GG² Cards is a platform for creating, personalizing, and sharing group digital greeting cards. Cards are purchased and delivered individually — we do not offer subscription plans. We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, but will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid products.
04Per-card model
GG² Cards operates on a per-card, pay-to-send model. Creating a card and collecting signatures is free. You pay once per card — either $3.99 for a template card or $5.99 for an AI-generated card — at the time you send or schedule delivery. There are no recurring charges, no subscriptions, and no accounts required to contribute to a card.
05Your content
You own the content you create or upload. By submitting content to a card (messages, photos, GIFs, signatures), you grant GG² Cards a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display it as part of the card for the duration of the card's access period (1 year after delivery). We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it to train AI models. AI-generated card artwork is produced using Ideogram's API based on a text prompt you provide. The resulting artwork is yours to use within the card. GG² Cards makes no warranty as to the uniqueness or intellectual property status of AI-generated content under applicable law. GIFs added by contributors are sourced from GIPHY. GIF content is subject to GIPHY's Terms of Service and community guidelines.
06Acceptable use
You agree not to use GG² Cards to: post content that is abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or harassing; impersonate another person; transmit spam or unauthorized advertising; violate any applicable laws or regulations; or attempt to access another user's account or card without permission. We reserve the right to remove content or terminate access for accounts that violate these rules, without refund.
07Payments and refunds
Payments are processed through Stripe. Each card is a one-time charge of $3.99 (template) or $5.99 (AI-generated) at the time of sending or scheduling. Refunds: A refund is available if the card has not yet been sent and no contributors have signed — contact [email protected] within 24 hours of purchase. Once a card has been signed by at least one contributor or delivered to its recipient, it is considered used and is non-refundable. The reminder feature is free and involves no charge.
08Reminders
The birthday and occasion reminder feature is free. By signing up for a reminder, you provide your email address and consent to receive a confirmation email immediately and one reminder email before the date you specified. We do not use reminder data for marketing or share it with third parties. You can unsubscribe from reminders at any time by replying "unsubscribe" to any reminder email.
09Card access and expiry
After a card is delivered, the recipient can access it via their delivery link for 1 year. After that period, the link may expire and content may be deleted. We do not guarantee permanent storage of card content. If you need a permanent copy, download the PDF before the access window closes.
10Limitation of liability
GG² Cards is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific card that is the subject of the claim. Some jurisdictions (including certain Canadian provinces) do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Ontario, or to the courts of Ontario, at our election. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants you additional local rights, those rights are not affected by this clause.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
